OR this market it will be more cost-effective to buy a new PC?

if the pc still performs satisfactorily, then there is no need to upgrade. now is not really a cost effective time to upgrade also, since gpu prices are still sky high and generational changes are coming up quite soon.

Very true, went down to the rabbit hole of looking for parts GPU price is ridiculous
