I have a lobang if getting i5 4690K with ASRock Z98 extreme 4 at 300. Is it worth it? Currently using i5 2500. Will the upgrade make a difference in terms of gaming? Considering I am using GTX970

Sorry! typo.. is bundled with z98 extreme 4 bundled tgt with i5 4690K.

The pricing is good if brand new, won't gives u massive boost and at least warranty is covered for next few years.

If u wan to oc it u need a AIO cooler....haswell chip is hot ~

As per what Jian19 said, I think it's really worth it if you wanna OC. Get the CM 212 cooler for another $50 bucks and you're all set. As for gaming, it also depends on what games you're playing. As far as I know, GTA V uses CPU as well. So it'll probably boost it if you upgrade to the 4690k.

lol.. well its my bro la haha.. he want change new com.. but he say he dont mind taking my old cpu and mobo for 200. then i pay the 300$ for an upgrade lo.. but thing is..i duno should i or not lol...:/


he want do new com.. but his budget over lol. left 250-300 for CPU+ mobo.. den he say he take mine den i change whatever i want buy i top up the remaining.. hence i not too sure should i change or not lol
