Hi all, would like to ask if I possess a murdoch university degree from kaplan, am i able to go over to australia to work? As in what I'm trying to mean is does my degree holds the same standing as students who graduate in murdoch university itself?

The general consensus is that it won't be easy to get a job there. The degree is recognized though.

you mean they're kinda racist towards chinese? lol. But i think Melbourne is fine right? As I don't think I'm gonna pursue my career in Singapore, it's quite err bad in terms of job market. They say small firms are hiring Singaporeans with decent pay but the truth is not really lol. It saddens me to see FTs being preferred rather than us Singaporeans who had serve the country for 2 years though.

Actually same thing. When you go Australia, they will pay you less than the locals. That's why the employers there would want to hire you over the locals. Same goes over here. But even if you get paid less than the locals there, its still more than what you get over here.

I don't know if they are racist. I've been to Melbourne once and they are all right and friendly too.

That said, I'm there as a tourist, not a job seeker... so how bad it is I can't tell.

If you read the thread where Singaporeans have migrated to Australia, you will know that it's hard for any non-Australian/New Zealanders to go there to work.

They have strict criteria for hiring, unlike here.

But life there definitely won't be too bad.

The only real difference I see between Australia and Singapore is the weather. Anything else is like Singapore; it's just a different variation.
