Hidaji Furii Kippu

Hi, i am interested to travel from kyoto to the famous Kanazawa -> Shirakawa-go -> Takayama/Gero. After some researching found this pass Hidaji Furii Kippu for Gifu area. But not sure if it is worth to get the pass, not sure how much it covers for this round about trip?Is JR Thunderbird limited express included? Anyone bought this pass can advice? Thanks alot

Hmm, I didn't know about this value ticket.
Still trying to understand how that works.
Does it mean that if for a group of 4 people travelling together from Nagoya to Takayama, I can purchase the Hidaji Furii Kippu at 25800yen total (6450yen), which includes return trip train tickets from Nagoya to Takayama via Ltd Exp Wide View Hida, then Takayama to Nagoya, as well as a taxi ticket?

Anyone else used this before?

I don't think it covers Thunderbird though, since I only saw Wide View Hida train on the page...plus the train lines travelling to Kanazawa is different from the train line to Takayama.

Hmm ok thanks. The explanation in the website is not really clear. There are actually different prices for the stations which I have no idea how much the tic cost.....

Yeah, I agree that the website is not too clear.
Can't find too much relevant info online either.

I'm tempted to get it for my feb trip, but am still not sure of all the details for this special ticket. If it is really 25800yen total (6450yen per pax) for a return trip on Wide View Hida train between Takayama and Nagoya within 3 days, then it is worth considering getting since I will only need to make my way from Kyoto to Nagoya and back.

I think the different pricing table makes sense as the higher the fare are for further apart the travelling distance.

Yeah, that's what I assumed.
But can't seemed to find much other info on this other than the JR Central website...not even on japan-guide.com either.

Not getting this pass.
Hubby decided to skip Takayama this time round since the Shirakawago evening lightup will be over by the time we arrive at Japan.
