If you want a high end gaming rig, you should constantly upgrade your gpu to keep up with the rising graphic demand of latest games.

It's hard to predict how long a computer can last. But most core components come with at least 3 years warranty. Within this period, if there is any hardware failure, you can always rma it.

Just to share, when i first brought this computer i also had the intention of using it for 3 years. Until now it's been 5 years and 3 months already the status report as follow.

Changed gpu 1x.
Motherboard 3x. (Long story, the most recent one was last week, another 3 yr warranty lol)
Ram 2x. (Kingston Ram)

Upgrade to a SSD.

To sum, i think that growing up means a lot less time to spend on games, therefore don't need to do any major upgrade.

• Be firm with your decision when buying from Tradepac. Don't be swayed by their sales assistant to upgrade and buy more expensive components which you don't require.
• Check all the components you plan to purchase are correct before you make payment.
• Stay at the shop and supervise them as they assemble your rig and make sure they return all spare chassis parts. You might want to take note that Tradepac cable management skills may not be up to your satisfactory level.

since u got abit more $ to spend, upgrade the mobo to H77 ones, Z77 for OC. And maybe Asus/MSI/Gigabyte.
