Hiking shoes to recommend

Hi guys, am planning for a oversea hiking trip and would like to seek some opinion on which brand n model of shoes to buy. Advice is appreciated!

What kind of hikes? Simple ones like SG Bukit Timah and HK trails? Or rocky ones like those in Malaysia?

Hi thx for sharing, is there any particular one stop place to shop for these shoes?

Go Nepal must be gore tex (breathable), water proof and cover the ankles at least. Wear thick socks when trying at the shops. Salomon one of the best I think.
