Hisense is also moving away from Google TV.

Good thing is 1 less competitor for Google TV.

I think its a bad decision. I will avoid such non Google TV brands.

Moi hoot 55e7q for $198, can see why hisense not popular even if it's cheap cuz moi need to buy additional google tv box to use instead of their vidaa.

Also, their sg seller/ distributor seems to be toshiba sg cuz the number that call moi for delivery is from there.

AI summary:-
Hisense acquired a 95% stake in Toshiba Visual Solutions (TVS), Toshiba's television subsidiary, in 2017 for roughly 12.9 billion yen ($113-114 million). This deal gave Hisense control over Toshiba's TV production, research, and sales, along with a 40-year license to use the Toshiba brand globally.

Moi get liao. Actually not bad leh, the ui, apps, settings all quite responsive and fast. Only downside for moi is no ads free YT so need to buy android box. For others who don't mind ads on YT or got premium or plug in laptop imo can just use their vidaa. Although they ask for postal code though, don't know why sia haha

Moi previous TCL p8m series is a lot slower and laggy but got google tv. So moi not sure is vidaa faster or this e7q cpu is better.

PQ is not bad but only downside is brightness, quite dim cannot use bright room or during day time. Moi laptop and tablet screen a lot brighter. If increase brightness past 50/100 will look washed out liao so moi kept it at 38 level.

China TV brands win more than half Japan's market for first time
Hisense, TCL beat Sony, Panasonic in their home with cheap prices
