cathay flights for the region of 20-28 december now S$600... missed the offer at $460 and then $500. typically do they have sales to hk for this period later in the year, based on past years?

Airasia only flies directly to thai, indo, msia ... due to sky regulations ...
other countries, must transit in klia2 ...

just checking airline promo quite regularly, so roughly know their routes ...
if budget airline , you can try jetstar or scoot ...
budget airline lands at terminal 2, full fledged airline lands at terminal 1 in hk ...

Not cheap when sq and cx promo can be cheaper.

Now have sq promo from $188. Timing not ideal though. There's always a catch right? Flight there 1955, return is 0710.

would go for full fledged, if the fare is above 220sgd for budget airline ...
but again, have to see ur specified dates ...

jan to jun ... including sch holidays , selected dates only ... cathay pacific more restrictions, they blocked out more dates compared to singapore airlines ...

Don't think it's due to sky regulations or anything like that ba.

It's just because there's no HK or Singapore version of AirAsia, so no point flying direct from Singapore to HK, then plane is forever outside of the home base.

There's Thai AirAsia, Indo AirAsia and Malaysia parent company, so makes sense for them to have route to Singapore from their base.

You fly to KL will be on AQ flights (Malaysia company) and fly to Jakarta will be QZ (Indo franchise)

Unless it's a certain transit link, for example Scoot flying to Japan transit in Taipei, so people in Taipei is able to buy a TPE-NRT flight on Scoot.

Yes because Sinapore is not a hub for most airline rather just a station which is why we need to do transit most of the time. So if want to fly with Airasia to hkg we have to transit most likely in bangkok.

BTW jetstar tomorrow 0 fares hong kong
