Glad to know we do not need to worry about the HLE until mid Aug as me and fiancee have just applied the may sobf.

I've been told by friends to get that before results are out and even saw on the hdb site to apply before selection (if we get a number). Was wondering if our chance will be forfeited if we could not produce if we apply too late.

So is it a recommended time to apply the HLE only when results are announced to us?

The selection doesnt start immediately nor would it be a one day event where all will go and choose their flat..

Selection will start 1-2 weeks after results is out and depending on your balloted results, the 1st few would also have to wait for 1-2 weeks before they are scheduled to go.

It doesnt matter whether u get it now, before results is out or after, it doesnt affect ur application in any possible ways..

So what is the rush for you or why ur fren so gan cheong?? :s13:

Haha really appreciate the wisdom and experience shared by you and the others here. I guess it's just a kiasi mentality we have. Truth be told our income doesn't even come close to the limit yet unlike some of the other bros here who will have more concern.

Hle application with all the supporting documents submitted requires only about a week to get approve..so nothing to kiasu about now, especially so when results for bto is about a month from now or sobf which is 2 months away..
