Anyone knows if fixed monthly operational allowance (based on % basic salary) is considered "Yes" under allowance component?

If I'm not wrong, they don't just look at employment, they also look at your household income. So you may need to request for another HLE. HDB website say this:

Your HLE Letter is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

There is no need for re-assessment during this period, so long as there is no change in financial position, and the applicants and intended occupiers remain the same.

The HLE letter will be reviewed if there are any changes in your household income, family nucleus or other circumstances which may affect your eligibility for an HDB housing loan

If your HLE letter has expired (before you commit to buying the house), you will need to apply for another one.

thanks for the replies nestr_sg

ours expiring soon so I would need to reapply. just that my partner wants to change job soon after reapplying hle but we're not sure after applying will they check again for flat selection or further down the road.

we're ok with the loan amount just scared later if she change her job will it be possible the reject our hle? even if we're into flat selection stage?

hi guys,

got a qn regarding HLE and also AHG.

If my last year NOA is 180k (2.5k monthly + 150k director fee / bonus)

Am I eligible for AHG? From this page, it seems that director fee is not considered for HLE / income ceiling... My SO is unemployed, so our combined HH income is 2.5k right?

http://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/res...ther-documents

For AHG, they didn't state if they will take in the entirety of the income for AHG grant or not, so I'm not entirely sure..

http://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/res...mer-applicants

Thanks everyone!

I am also looking at the AHG but it seems to me they are taking full income into consideration(additional incentives/bonuses) which is different from HLE application

I read on HDB website (under first timer applicants - cpf housing grant) saying that:

Income/ allowance that will be considered for the income ceiling:
  • Allowances (fixed/ variable) received on a regular basis, such as allowances for food, transport, laundry, uniform
  • Stipend

Income/ allowance that is not considered for the income ceiling:

  • Alimony allowance
  • Bonuses
  • Income from overtime work income
  • Interest from deposit accounts
  • National Service Allowance
  • Pension
  • Rental income
  • Scholarship overseas allowance

Has anyone claimed AHG/SHG before?
Do they really take the total average gross income that includes bonuses, etc?

Grant doesnt take into account VB/AWS..If your regularly pay consist of additional allowance which is given every single month then those would be taken into the calculation.

More HLE questions! I already selected my flat (yay!), my HLE expires in April. But my signing for lease appt will be about 3 months later, somewhere in May or June? So my HLE will be expired by then.

I already showed my approved HLE letter to the CSO when I selected my flat, do I still need to reapply again just for the lease signing?

Hello,

I have a question on HLE loan.
My HLE was granted at $613K, on day of usage;

1. Will they deduct my OA from this loan amount?
2. Flat selection and key collection should be within the period before this first HLE expires, do they need re-application of HLE? I saw from other posts that there is normally the 2nd HLE?

Thanks,
