Hm.. PC problem

Seasonic X 650W Gold Power Supply (original PSU)
Seasonic X 1050W Gold Power Supply (Extra PSU)
M4 Crucial 128GB SSD
NZXT Phantom 410 Casing

Some background

One day when I was using the PC, it kept rebooting continuously when ordered to shutdown (but still can enter windows). I forced switched it off by switching off the PSU on/off button.

Brought in motherboard for RMA, motherboard was actually working fine but the LAN port was spoilt, so was given a new set. New set was tested and was working fine.

Tested with different PSU, but now PC can boot, but before it even POST, restart almost immediately

Suspected processor problem, so sent in processor for RMA, received a BRAND NEW one in a sealed box just today.

But same issue.

Have a spare PSU lying around and tested it. Same issue.

Tried clearing CMOS

The RAM works in my current PC --> so cannot be RAM problem

I also tried changing the power connectors from the PSU

Only issue left I can see is both PSU got problem? But someone came over to my house to test with a different unit, his one also same problem

Just a hunch that it might be hard disk issue. I ever experience with MSI mobo with faulty hard disk and it went into reboot loop. Try upgrade your SSD firmware (if any) or reformat it.

Did you check the ram compatibility on the gigabyte website?
If it's not in the list, considering trying another set of ram - i had an issue with my ram where the ram gave no errors from memtest, and was working fine with gaming com. However, when used with my htpc, the windows startup screen gets pixelated and wouldn't load. Ubuntu loaded fine, but was just plain laggy...

do a memtest on the RAM. dun assume.. you changed almost everything liao

I am having the same issue. Last week. It might be something shorted preventing it from powering up. Check on all device connected properly. Ram and GPU. Must be fully fitted into slot. CPU fan showed might also be a cause.

try disconnecting other USB devices, leaving only keyboard and mouse...then remove all hard disks except the boot drive?

hey all.. I found the solution. Bent pin on mobo and front panel USB connector shorting the motherboard. Thanks for the suggestions!
