don't why Kobe beef mentioned, but why not..=:p

If you go Hakodate, which you should if you love seafood:s12:

You can indulge in fresh uni (basket of 5 for 2500yen?) at some of the hakodate morning market seafood stalls. but we just tried two uni at a foodstall with sit down area.

Fresh ika if you are not squeemish. You can actually "fish"one and the staff will prepared it as sashimi for you to enjoy at the table. The tank/stall is inside around the center part of the market.

They sell live kani but it was too much and expensive for two person to finish. T.T

You can buy the medium/big preserved scallops for yourself. They are cheaper than in singapore but not cheap.

And the infamous Lucky Pierrot burger chain but they no longer have the whale meat burger. My friend liked their egg burger and hot soup(because it was really cold outside).

Forgot to mention the Yamakawa Ranch milk is delicious. So are the other hokkaido milk. But it's hard to find this brand outside of hakodate/hokkaido

You can try it at Hakodate Goryokaku Tower, there is a small shop selling food & drinks on ground level opposite end from ticket office. If you drink there and return the glass bottle, there is a small rebate.Got hot /cold original & coffee milk.

Otaru

Don't forget Le Tao's cakes
And these hokkaido only confectioneries.
*qŒöŽ®*r˜Z‰Ô’à
Try Rokkatei's chocolates with freeze-dried strawberries and
Marusei butter cookies (Note: got short expiry date and need under 25degrees temp storage)

They do have small counters in big dept. stores elsewhere in japan but not shops.

Sapporo: Jingisukan (Lamb bbq), soup curry,
If you are adventurous, can buy canned whale/deer/seal/bear meat to try. Sapporo JR station got an omiyage shop that sell other hokkaido area's specialties. Just remember to put inside check in luggage...

hope these are enough to think about.....too tired to list more le.

You will not be able to miss it...

the music box place is along the way.
You can take a coffee break at the cafe near by, the little cup is your's with each coffee purchase...

there is chocolate boutiques, pastries, sake, soft-serve ice cream.... :s22:

>_< been there twice and I still like... yeah that place is awesome >_<

Anything that can bring back to SG from Rokkatei and Kitakaro?

I see people here importing Shiroi Koibito.
