sounds like gambling

Passive to defend by averaging up/down and growth/capital gain once it enhance further. Sound like gambling unless ur pick is for short term and penny junk will never be in my lists.

I use to single pick city dev, singtel, sph, cordlife, sats, smrt, sti etf, uob, st eng, etc.... diversify some in dj, etc

btw, my holding now in sgx is nil

a good company is not necessarily a good investment
blue chips are not necessarily good. you need to pay a blue chip premium which increases your risk

the best is to buy companies with blue chip characteristics but priced like penny stocks

of course their potential gap up's yield will be one of my consideration and I don't see any in current sgx lists. Penny stocks are easily manipulate as everyone can be a disguise BB here.

blue chip characteristics but priced like penny stocks? can name them, quite curious =:p

I preferred single pick stock, once lock on - do average up and down. Passive to defend or growth/capital to enhance further. No need over diversify in a small sgx market. From TS lists, I choose only singtel :)

Lots of factor are out of investor's control (e.g. 4th telco license). Those factors would disrupt company fundamental and affect its profitability. It would be better to diversify multiple counters and industries to reduce those risks.
