I havent really research much about my trip yet so i would leave that to the experts like tequila to answer u but u are not planning to visit lamma island for the other attractions? I thought lamma island has some nice attractions for the family goers

Hmmm ..... maybe tequila or those in HK can do me this favour ?

Since my email to Tai Woo Restaurant bounced bc they are over-quota, can u ppl pls help call them and ask whether their Set Dinner For 2 Offer at HK380 nett [intead of usual HK550] for the HKFoodandDineYear is STILL ON until end-Dec etc[since the OFFER eMenu stated the date in Chinese as April 2009 ?]

See my posts at the FOOD IN HK Thread

THANKS in advance :) =:p

if you are thinking of going Macau from hong kong, go book a local tour in HK and you can save quite a few $$.
i just went this week and only cost me HKD181 per person + HKD50 tips for the tour guide. The tour includes a return Turbojet ferry ticket, a half day guided tour and a buffet lunch at one of the casino hotel. After lunch they will send you to The Venetian and you are on your own. You can choose your return timing, so book the 10pm (on weekdays) and if you want to return to HK early just go to the ferry terminal and be on the waiting list (normally on weekdays ferry not full).

Thanks - we've already booked and paid for our F&E 5D4N HK Trip tonight at a People's Park Centre Basement Travel Agency {Newly} - Just $704 all-in with taxes :
- CX flights with convenient timings [Depart Wed 30/12/09 AM and Return Sun 3/1/10 PM]
- 4N at Harbour Plaza Resort City with airport transfers
- Free Full-Day City Tour with Aberdeen, NongPing 360 SkyRail, Lantau Island etc ....
- Free Ocean Park OR Disney Tickets

My friend was saying - it was supposed to be a free & easy 'relaxing' trip for us - but looks like kinda 'jam-packed' already as also planning to pop over to Macau & Zhuhai on our own [possibly only do-able on the 4th day Sat 2nd Jan] as that leaves Ocean Park to the 3rd day Fri New Year's Day - followed by the Peak & Md Tussaud's after Ocean Park [really dreading the huge crowds there !!!]
Hope we won't experience 'horrific human jams' at the end of our free City Tour ending around 4 pm at the TST Area on the 2nd day or New Year's Eve - would like to be able to make it back to our hotel and watch the New Year countdown from the TV comfortably :D :s13: maybe have fun "cooking/heating up" our own 'supper' in the room kitchenette etc ......

Think not too bad a deal here
CX flights too at this time of the year etc .....
The hotel rooms are pretty big too and shopping etc nearby .....
Not that bad as have hotel shuttle bus in addition to public transport

Ur deal not bad. Still got throw in Disney admission ticket. In the end I have to find my own lobang of Disney admission ticket. Wonder where to get promotional ones.

Macau - a Portuguese colony until Dec 1999, just 60 kilometers west of Hong Kong, is another alluring destination manifest in aging churches and temples, cobbled lanes and narrow winding streets, hilltop fortresses and a grand seafront promenade. It is a land coloured by a delightful mix of European and Oriental, ancient and present where varied cultures coverage and impressive monuments survive along the hurly and burly of a modern metropolis.
Depart hotel to pier for a relaxing boat ride to Macau.

Arrive Macau and start your sightseeing by driving along Guia Circuit - where one of the biggest international event - the Grand Prix is held annually.

Visit an ancient temple decorated with handmade, colourful roof pottery.

Historic Centre of Macao, inscribed as a world heritage site by UNESCO, is marked by important landmarks such as Senado Square and Section of the Old City Walls.

St. Paul's Ruins (Ruinas de Sao Paulo), the grand imposing facade is the ruins of an early 17th century church designed by an Italian Fesuit and built by early Japanese Christian exiles.

Passing by the picturesque cobblestones streets.

Built in 1617-26, Mount Fortress covers 10,000 sq.m. and serves as the first residence of the governors of Macau.

Lunch will be served at a hotel.

Visit the gambling tables of the world famous casino in Macau - the Lisboa Casino or Sands Casino.

Return to Hong Kong and transfer to hotels.

Notes: * Macau visa fee is not included [if required]
* Gentlemen wearing shorts will be declined entry to casino.
* Visit to casino is for entertainment purpose only and will last about half an hour.

HMMMM .... on reflection maybe just forgo the FREE HK100 City of Dreams CREDIT etc and from CTS just book ticket for Cirque du Soleil 8PM Show and get ferry ticket to explore on our own before show - at HK499 UP only =:p

Or just choose the HK350 for Food Coupon + Turbojet ticket [if not going for show]

http://www.ctshk.com/english/zy/pkgstep2.jsp

Think the HK780 {MT Tour in English} just NOT worth it - the local Cantonese tour is only HALF the price too :look:
