thanks folks.

yup will wait and see how v4 is like. but I'm more concerned about switching from colorOS (Oppo) to MagicOS. having used Oppo phones for a number of years now (since Huawei was banned by USA), I must say I've grown used to and like the colorOS a lot.
I just switched from Find N3 to V3. Color OS & Magic OS all are running on top of Android 14 right? So not much major diff. At least for me. Only thing I miss about the N3 is the mute slider button. Very useful

I also just noticed a useful slider sound button on N5.

the slider on n5 is unbelievably high on the edge, towards the top. unless you have loooong fingers (or specifically, thumb), you can't really touch it even when holding it 'normally' in your hand. likewise for the power button/fingerprint sensor.

when they made the n5 taller (than n3), I wonder why they didn't find the positions of the slider/power buttons a problem. maybe they expect people to use two hands since it's a foldable? but to me, it's kinda poor design ergonomically speaking.

Yup they probably never do much user testing. I love how honor design their cases and put in much thought in the user experience aspect. They still got much to do of cuz in the camera aspect and OS but they are on the right track.

Switching from Honor to Oppo due to their poor after sales service and lack of proper service centre services. Hope Honor can manage their own service centre and not outsource to third party like their current way of doing it.

What's your bad experience with the Honor warranty service like? I've had a bad experience with Novena Oppo service centre though long time ago. Still under warranty almost new condition set, sent in for repair. A week later came back full of scratches and the back cover not sealed properly zz.

Finally got my phone back

Change inner screen will need to change bezels together

Used myhonor smart diagnostics to check phone before leaving, so far seems ok
Sorry, I don't see the option of smart diagnose in My Honor app. I knew Huawei got such a feature. Thank.

Just went to play with the N5, feels heavy in hand.

Good thing is front screen is flat.
Crease control I feel around same as V3. No comment on colors.
V3 os for the gestures I think is excellent (esp for the minimise window one, just slide right upwards, no need tap here or there).

Main reason won't get the N5 is because really feels too heavy in hand.

Can share where you get the tempered glass sp?
Got it from AliExpress long ago but deleted the app. Think you can look at reviews. Any UV glue one Shud be fine, or those kun lun fei Lin mo kind from taobao with installation kits. Most importantly look at photo reviews.
