If i am not wrong, he has enabled / setup the fingerprint in the DBS app. But the app somehow thinks the fingerprint is updated or changed in the system and doesn't allow the fingerprint authentication for safety precautions and force him to use the pin only.
Yup. That's the only possibility.

Ya. True. Although gotten the phone for 2 to 3 weeks, but at least is out now
The bad thing is they like to promise different years of OS and security updates to EU and ROW... Why can't just give the same sia...

This is the most thorough review of x9d I've seen yet (click on 'watch on youtube' link). Its battery life ranking may raise some eyebrows:

I've used my x9d for a day. No issues with anything, including posb app. It's not great but not bad, taking into consideration its price with freebie and warranty coverage

I managed to solve the fingerprint issue with the dbs app. Just need to turn off fingerprint login, log off, close app. Reopen app and redo the fingerprint login process.

In hand, it feels mediocre. It is most suited for folks who cant charge their phones for 1-2 days, or work outdoors. The camera module design is dated (which is why I chose the black one, to help it look 'understated'). Having said that, its true power shows only if you drop the phone or something falls on it. Phone shell can still get scratched, so I still use a case.

Battery can definitely last 3 days for me. I even indulge in High refresh rate setting since the battery can handle it. I also turn on other battery draining features avoided in other phones. Camera is what you pay for, not more. It could be better if you adjust settings under manual mode.

MagicOS is fine. Exclude the AI nonsense and its pretty standard. Loses to MiUI in terms of dual apps capability and quantity of themes though.

Btw, I spent many hours moving ~130 apps from old phone and configuring this new one, despite copying over usb cable and using bitwarden to fill some credentials. 2FA on so many apps really bogged things down nowadays. Its so tedious I wonder how others manage with very frequent phone changes. I wonder if iphones do it better. Any tips for my future use?

does samsung smart switch help you move credentials for non-banking apps like shopping, delivery, utility apps? if so, does it also copy their preferences settings so you dont have to reconfig each of them?
