The newly introduced Antec GX700 Gaming casing fills the price gap in the local market between its existing brothers, the Antec One and Solo II casings, besides catering to the budget gaming crowd. Straightaway at first glance, anyone can tell that this model is probably not meant for the more fastidious discerning gamers with deep pockets and mammoth sized gaming cards.

Packaging
Sturdy usable brown box with practical deep handle holes which allow easy moving around, too many casing packings make them inconvenient to move around without a trolley.

Interim summary
That's all for now, next is to do the actual rig install before coming to any verdict. For such a budget casing, I am awaiting the delivery of the appropriate budget matching combo (mobo's ready but the chip is still on the way...)

Crysis 3 Game On!
Had been earnestly planning for this in my mind as the kids' school holiday gaming rig in anticipation of Crysis 3 since they are both now on AMD mainstream Trinity powered machines. Was stress testing this 550BE@B50/970 Extreme4 combo for the past few weeks and after so many delays (real life gets in the way), the whole Crysis 3 Kiddo rig is finally done!

Think it's as Antec a PC as any PC can ever get... GX700 casing, Kuhler 620 AIO water cooler, all fans (stock and Antec LED Tricools) and even the EA650 Platinum PSU too! Had to excavate my old Kuhler 620 (with its uncoordinated green AMD plastics) from the storeroom cos my Kuhler 920 is presently serving my FX-8350 test rig.



Pardon the cable management (imo, it's tougher with non-modular PSU), took only a few hours for the actual execution of the build... hee hee.

Managed to site the Antec LED Tricool fan speed controls in a very convenient location, really nice!

Love the huge mobo plate cut-out, no worry about changing coolers or backplate even for the LGA2011 platform.

Unexpected surprise after all this prolonged planning and building, one kid is actually happy enough with 1152 x 864 Crysis gaming on his Trinity 5600K APU rig while the other kid now says he's not too keen on Crysis 3 afterall.

Last I checked, our Mindeaf still using 6 y.o HP square boxes with locked down Win XP x86...
