I have shortlisted some choices, looking for ~500gb size. Do let me know u guys opinion on the best bang for buck! I am also open for other suggestions/better lobang.

Currently inclined towards the cheaper PNY as I think wont be able to feel the speed diff in day2day usage.

Amazon:
PNY 480gb 139.99 USD

PNY 480gb faster version 159 USD

Lazada:
Transcend 512gb 257 SGD before promo code

go with local warranty. If buying from amazon, I would wait for Intel SSD for their international warranty

update: looks like evo850 set is shop warranty, not from samsung.

Thanks, will take note. For SSD, I don't mind not having local warranty since my current Vertex 3 also bought online from Amazon.

However if normal hdd local warranty is a must!

Get Samsung SSD EVO 850 500GB not from Lazada SuperDeals (non-EA set) but @ $299 from Tradepac, with warranty from EA and hence free vacuum cleaner. Though you spend more you still end up saving more with the free gifts.

I checked the Samsung website but there are no details on the free gifts promotion. May I know where you got the info?

Lucky still managed to get it serviced base on the manufacture date.

I am planning to get one for just the OS and mayb a game or two. Any recommendation for brands?

Thinking to get Intel 730 series, does Fuwell sell this?

its been such a long time since I step into SLS...

Just missed the Transcend 256GB deal on Lazada last weekend...

But then I think about it, now is 123+ and if I apply coupon would it be same price?

Is there point in waiting for deals and how should I wait?

Decent enough, IMO.

$123 - $20 coupon = $103 - 5% shopback = $97.85

You just missed the $30 off $100 spending code yesterday morning.

Not really... yesterday the price was like $130+

I think they just shift the prices according to what codes are being available so end up pay the same. Then earn from people who don't use code. Else how weekend sale $119 then jump up $130+ then now $123. That's why I asked whether should wait or if no point.
