competition, nbc's 'the blacklist'. this is a star-powered show. concept wise, it sounds like a miniseries. unless kena taken hostage season after season. one of cbs flagship shows. the other is next year's 'intelligence'. once again competiting with nbc's 'crisis'.

me always find toni collette weird looking. she was wonderful in united states of tara. probably watch hostage for her. don't fancy dat hostage taker lead actor though.

anyhow, hollywood is planting ideas into amerikan minds. the 'new' enemy is 'we the people'. they hv been doing dat for awhile liao. especially on tv.

episode 2 synopsis:

When Ellen disobeys Duncan’s orders to assassinate the President during surgery, he tells her it will cost her a family member’s life. Duncan also informs the family that they are to go about their normal lives for the next two weeks until the President’s operation, and that his team will be monitoring their every move, on HOSTAGES, Monday, Sept. 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

the traitor. ex-secret service agents can never be allowed to join private sector security firms. basically, any gahmen or chenghu protection officers cannot join the trade in private sector. it's a security risk.


anyhow, hostages is on shaky grounds despite me enjoying it more than its competitor.

was looking at cbs fall lineup and this is cbs only new drama show. and it's not doing well with viewership ratings. strong competition from nbc and abc with the blacklist and castle respectively.

guess those comments were probably on the serialised nature of the show.

as the finale has yet to be written, they could give it some closure or be an a-hole and leave things open for rice bowl sake.

those r questions to be answered. it's a serialized show. same for procedural shows with big story arcs.

probably a disgruntled amerikan public servant pissed off with the administration. unlikely to be money.
