Hostgator and Cpanel

This is not really hardware...but it's so hard that it's become HARDWARE

I'm new to websites and I purchased through hostgator. Support so far has been terrible so can i ask help from gurus and folks here? I cannot access to my cpanel!

If I go website, it's empty because nothing installed. If i go to the "temporary" url thru link given to me in website confirmation, it goes to parallels panel and if i manage to log in, i have something like a cpanel - but installing apps like wordpress seem to fail. And if i log in from hostgator website, it's a useless site that just shows me my orders and billings.

How do i get started on my site!?
