Hi.

Would like to check is there any suitable hotel/apartment for big group, approx 9 people.
From my research, most of the hotel in Bkk only cater to 2-3 pax.

Thanks in advance

try urbana langsuan. Take a 3 bed room and a 2 bed room should be good enough for you.

9 ppl in a room ?
maybe you can break into 3 triple rooms
or 2 quad / family room + one extra bed ...
else u would be limiting your choice ...
coz not many hotels provide quad or family room
in terms of pratunam, you can try grand diamond, berkeley ...

Thanks all for the reply. I guess I will just find room for 2-3 pax then. Thanks!!

Urbana 3 rooms has 1 King 1 Queen 2 Single bed. i think just take 1 x 3 bed room and 1 x 2 bed room there can fit all of you guys already.

need to take into account , no room service if stay airbnb ...
also hard to find the person house sometimes ..

Yeah i also feel Airbnb not really suitable for Bangkok. Worst come to worst, I might just book 4 room for 2 pax each.

We are not really fussy about room actually since most of the time will be outside.

ya lor. same here.
even hk also stay hotel, coz cannot tahan no room service lol...
hk can understand many ppl stay airbnb coz cheaper.

however, if more ppl go hk more worth.
for example royal plaza 4ppl in a room is 250sgd per nite
if two ppl same room size, just 1 double bed, instead of two, price is 200sgd

Montara serviced apartment is a nono !
location sooooo far from main road ...
the hotel is near petchaburi area ...
so you cant possibly walk to the bts, unless you wanna walk 15min at least ...

urbana langsuan shld be abt 40 to 50sgd per person per nite
perhaps he or she is staying longer, hence wanna save more.
also have friend who asked me about long stay for groups of ppl...
his budget is oni 25 per person per nite ..
hence the needs of others might be diff from you :)

like you say a person budget can be 40 - 50 a night (WHICH TO ME is actually rather low) and may be staying long. so that's why suggesting a cheaper property. 15mins walk. they can always take a cab which is still cheaper then staying at urbana.

the problem with cab is always jam ...
i understand what she means, coz my budget also abt 25 to 40sgd per nite
thats why always wait for 5stars hotel sales below 80sgd per nite for two with bf ...

Hi turtlezhu and dede1217!

Sorry for not being clear with the information in my initial post.
My budget per person per night is about 25-35sgd. Planning to stay a total of 5 night thus budget is lower.

Thanks a lot for the loads of information provided by both of u. Appreciate it.

Maybe my budget is way too low? Actually we don't mind paying abit more as long as locations is good. Like near bts. But currently my search for hotel show rate of about $130-$200 per nite for twin sharing even if is just a 3-4 stars hotel. Is that the normal rate?

if based on two pax in one room, your budget can stay in many 3 stars hotel in pratunam and sukhuvmit ... if u like pratunam area, can try budacco, tango vibrant, citin pratunam, metz ... review not bad ...
however is far from bts ... pratunam is never near bts ...
at least 10 to 15 min or longer walk to bts chitlom ...

Near bts normally is kinda expensive.
you can try legacy express, abt 30sgd per person per nite ...
breakfast is cmi ...
hotel beside have a 711 and domino ..
walk to ploenchit bts is abt 3 min ... kinda fast ...
you can easily get a cab there to chitlom bts for abt 50b ...

there r also many 3 stars hotel along sukvhumit road ....
you can read their review and check out their location

in my opinion, 3 stars hotel in bkk is abt 20 to 35sgd per person per nite
4 stars htoel is abt 30 to 45sgd per nite
5 stars hotel is abt 45 and above ...

however, if you stay novotel hotel that type of hotel, price might be abt 130 or more per nite ... even for 5 stars amari watergate, per nite is abt 100 to 140sgd per nite no breakfsat ...
