I went Japan last year and had a great stay at yumoto fujiya. You can check their reviews and see if it suits you. It is very well located and near the station, which is a plus point for me. The hotel itself is clean and modern and service is nice as well.

The hotel also has good transportation to other areas, so you will save time and hassle as you travel to other areas.hot air springs is also available within the hotel, shioks to the max. Their staff is also very willing to help with all my queiries and there are many eateries just outside the restaurant..

I went to one of the ryokan "Yamanochaya"

I rate this as one of the best ryokan experience.

That room, cost me around $700 per night because i stayed alone. If two person should be around $900??

but inclusive of both breakfast and dinner which are very good meals.

If you are looking for something cheaper, you might want to consider this hostel:

It is located 3 minutes walk away from Gora Station.

I stayed 2 nights there and I enjoyed the onsen they have.

I am staying at Fujimien now. It is 18000 yen per night plus 3600 yen for very nice kaiseki dinner. It is quite near to togendai station. Clear view of fujisan from the room and onsen as well although i guess it wont be as good as the one anyhowsaysay went.
