This is the third case of murder or suspected murder in less than two weeks.

On Nov 30, a 66-year-old man was charged with the murder of a 67-year-old woman in her Ang Mo Kio HDB flat.

On Dec 2, the body of a 30-year-old woman was found inside an HDB flat in Dover. The police are seeking assistance from overseas authorities to locate a man connected to her death.

There have been nine cases of murder or alleged murder so far in 2024, including the Ang Mo Kio and Dover cases.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday (Dec 10) for the murder of a woman, after she was stabbed at a shop in Hougang.

The Singapore Police Force received a call for assistance at a shophouse along Hougang Street 21 at about 11.05am on Tuesday.

Upon their arrival, officers found a 26-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman with stab wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, where the woman later died.

The 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He was found with injuries sustained during the attack and was taken to hospital.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that all parties are known to each other," the police said, adding that investigations are ongoing.

The man will be charged on Thursday with murder. The offence of murder carries the death penalty.

Precisely. U pointed correctly. In fact there is an unfair work wage systems for the Poor In Singapore we have ignoring it by by passing through foreign talents. All Our ppl in Singapore deserves decent wages. We are not pigs neither are u a slave driver

How come PRC can be hired in service line?
Likewise so many PRC working in Chinese eatery and restaurants?

According to MOM

PRC Work Permit holdersThe PRC Work Permit holders sub-quota is 8% of your total (local + foreign) workforce

Meaning for every 12 workers, you are only allowed to hire one PRC.

Those PRC are flocking here and some places are almost 100 pct PRC.
They can work 996 and put local businesses at unfair competitions leh.

This is even worse than those prata shops.
