Haha, it is. SMU have similar culture like RP where you needs to wayang & shoes carrying to score points in front of lecturer. NUS & NTU is purely on academic result for assessments & you can don't bother about the lecturer to the extend you can miss all the tutorial lessons (since it is not included in the attendance requirement) until lecturer threaten to give harder questions in exam or tips during lessons.

Yes have to agree with the expensive course fee. Heard it's very competitive over there also

Just a disclaimer, I am not an accountancy student.

Anyway based on reputation alone, SMU beats SIT. It has the brand recognition. Because SMU has an established business school, it's business programs, including accountancy is more recognised.

Like Kyoji said, SMU adopts seminar-style classes and class participation plays an important role in your scores.

Just take note that to enroll directly into Singapore CA qualification, you need to have corporate accounting focus for SIT, whereas SMU's accountancy accepted for all.

But SIT prides itself in its IWSP. Accountancy students in SIT needs to go through an 8 month long internship. So, each institution has their own strengths and weaknesses.
