It’s a faux ThinkPad. Get x395 if on tight budget.
x395 is AMD processor.

Anything wrong with Ryzen processor for school usage? Did the school specifically mention only Intel is suitable for school use and AMD is not compatible?
Most software these days perform well/compatible with either
Intel/AMD.
It's up to TS/user preference as some may not want AMD
due to perception that it is slow and hot.
That is decade ago issue but still linger with user especially
those who do not DIY PC.
