How are those SD card with wifi ?

Saw at Giant both Toshiba and Trek, 8Gb with wifi all selling for $59.90.
So how to make use of the wifi ?
Cannot send a photo to FB etc just thru the camera right ?
Must connect to network, download the photo to Pc thru network then post right ?
Like that not much point right ?

Might as well just connect thru USB of directly pug in the SD card to the PC.

The point is that you can upload pics even when you are not at home; when you are outdoor or travelling.

So the card will work on any camera that will accept the card, together with a smartphone/tablet running the wifi app ?
But is this app for transcend only ?
So for every brand of wifi sd card need to download different app ?

i think depends on which brand ba? cos the Transcend 32gb Wifi Class 10 is like $75usd, but the Eye-Fi 16gb class 10 is like $99usd

not sure what's good about the eye-fi. but the transcend is out of stock though.

Giant IMM got both the Trek and Toshiba wifi 8Gb SD card at $58.
Is the Eye fi with much better feature ?

Read somewhere that the toshiba is fully compatible with the epm2.
The only PEN that is fully compatible with the card.
Not even the EM5 or EPL5.
