But got to give credit to Samsung who recognise this is one of their common issues with lots of online complains

Our experience trying to fix it........
  1. We down to the service center to check if can service, as we saw some online feedback that only needs to pay labor cost
  2. Service center mention that our phone is no longer under the service list for this type of condition, ask us to call the hotline
  3. Called the hotline and the officer assisted us and we took some photo (need to use another phone and not screen shot as screen shot cannot capture the lines) as proof of the pink line
  4. Hotline got the approval and help us to arrange a servicing at our preferred service center (woodlands) and to do the phone inspection
  5. Brought the phone down and they inspected to make sure there are no physical damage that could have caused the pink line, before taking it in. We paid for the labor cost think 50+
  6. Took the phone back after 2 weeks
So do call the hotline or go down service center if you are facing the same issue.
Who knows you can get it rectified. If worst case, at least when you are there, you can also meet other people with the same green/pink/white lines and give yourself comfort....... not only me.

Not high end also will tio. My wife phone S20 have pink line, her boss and boss husband samsung phone also tio. Commonality is that its SAMSUNG and usually after upgrade OS.

So next time before upgrade OS, better pray. Or just don't upgrade OS and hope don't canna all the bugs or errors.
S series is considered higher end by Samsung

I only Sian now the china phones software stop updating way too fast

very repairable and not say laggy also. a piece of hardware can last a good 6 years for normal usage replacing battery every two years and side buttons every 3-4 years

also no green lines on the screen even for my Poco F1 only screen a bit dim Nia. fingerprint still better than my Google pixel 8a

As per topic

Amazingly their stand is the line is due to hardware issue not software issue
So they aren't repairing it for free

Of course that doesn't answer why their stand in India for example is different

Anyway this also means the status quo will remain

Unlock phone with fingerprint turn the phone unresponsive for like 5s or more. Known issue but no fix from Sony, ever. This is very critical when I need to access NFC.

Also I just don't like the default google apps on this phone. Prefer Sammy ones
Ic is it ur first time using an Xperia phone?
