Got 2 possible reasons.

1. Cheap LED
2. Cheap driver

My Philips t5 lights bought from Malaysia can last me 10 to 11years til I sold off my flat. I only changed 1 or 2 tubes during the course of the 10 to 11 years.

I'm having similar issues. While most of my LED lasted more than 7 years and still working fine, one or two of those that was turned on most often already spoilt 3-4 times. It's hard to tell it is due to the reliability of certain batch or it's just normal wear and tear. Finding a "good" or "reliable" one led module is really tough from Pinduoduo, Taobao or Shopee... There are just so many you don't know one is real and really reliable... It has gotten irritating, I recently changed one of the led lamp holder back to those hamburger type with 2X E27 bulbs inside.

By the way, you do know you only need to change the led module inside and not the whole lamp right?

probably the quality... usually the driver uplorry first. hit and miss one.

my entire house has around 40 leds (flat kind for false ceiling). used for over 8 years. replaced around 5 drivers. some just over a year and some probably after the 3rd year. led panel havent replaced any though they get dimmer over time.

they cost $5 when i bought it in jb...some ah tiong brand. think now online can get less than that. i noticed the tri color drivers uplorry much faster at my parents place. maybe its the quality...but they are cheap and easy to replace anyway.

I have changed most of my house lights to energy saving bulb.
Spoilt, just turn and unscrew . then replace, very super easy but not nice to see.
Long run, nobody will notice it.

My led light bulb lasted about 4 yrs bah. 2 days ago it tripped my circuit breaker. Now I use back normal light bulb liao.
