Last time if a person go A&E but was not warded, think he have to pay whole amount in cash. Don't know if they change that too.

My parents like to pay with medisave.. they think very satki no need pay cash and think its a "savings" when dont touch cash.. and they love to put cash in savings account with 0.05% interest

Me dont like, especially if its partial here partial cash.. Need to track some more, sorry due to my previous nature of work so i dont trust anyone, i treat everyone with scepticism..

If default to Medisave, then if claim insurance, very troublesome, right ? More work for insurance companies and more work for us to check whether insurance company return the money to medisave.

From what I know, it kind of depends.

A&E - totally not warded. Should be in cash/credit card etc but not Medisave cos outpatient. But I not too sure if there will be specific situations like managing of chronic illness then they allow but from what I know, barring the odd case, it should be cash

A&E and admitted to ward - no issue with Medisave

A&E and admitted to A&E - these cases are not to be confused with people waiting for beds. These kind of cases usually there are some specific situations where you need to be observed for a longer period of time but doctor is not sure if u need to go to the ward. So u get admitted to ane but u must stay a minimum of 7 or 8 hours to qualify. But its not every case
