How come Star Trek not as popular as Star Wars?

I think some of those TNG episodes are very good in terms of storyline, just that the early 90s props and effects look lame by modern standards.

If they re-did the series with modern technology, I think it can compete with Mando.

In USA, probably 50:50 in terms of fans.

Some of the stories have deeper meaning, just that in those days computer effects were very basic. Even if you want to do a huge space battle also difficult.

You look at all their episode and the story is always onboard their ship and alots of talking but no action. See oredi will fall asleep .
If no Star War to watch and pay me to watch Star Trex, I rather go watch Battlestar Galactica or Japanese anime Gundam better

How to compare yo star war when it’s full of action all the way.

Star Wars is space opera. Lots of action and drama. Actually is not much sci fi, cos it's pretty much just magic in space. Whereas TNG is heavy on sci fi concepts like interacting with alien civilisations, time travel, and AI. Less mass popular appeal.

Sorry lor. Entertaining movies only make it to the Big Hit as it is entertaining and comes with the Woww factor that’s attract more crowds into the cinema and make it a Box Hits.

Star Trax can only make it to TV as only those potato croach will sit on the sofa and see and sleep watching it.

I personally prefer Star Trek as I love their lore/stories and attempt at explaining some of the science behind their universe. Most people however probably prefer to switch their minds off when they watch movies/tv, hence Star Wars is more popular.
