IMHO.
Getting a "Hybrid", my lifestyle improved. My hybrid calculated range is over 1000 km per full tank. I have more time now as I go to the petrol station less often as each tank can last 12-14 days. It saves me money too as my last tank of petrol cost lesser per km than a typical EV and I pay lesser road tax and insurance.

When the traffic lights turns green, I often see typical PHV BYDs take off quickly but I just smile to myself as my hybrid sprint is faster than most of them. I just help the world as speeding is not eco-friendly.

Every time I drive to work, I can look at the fuel consumption - it is usually around a litre and I would compare with the over $25 dollars if I would have taken Grab.
You driving Altis?

The problem now is cars are priced weirdly in SG. Before the ICE ban, ICEs are significantly cheaper than EV/hybrids. So you pay a large premium for EVs/hybrids and you need to drive a lot to recover the cost. Now they are equally as ex.

In the rest of the world, ICE and gas are way cheaper than EVs.

But is repair of ev cheap or not
Some of their parts bearings etc also hidden in one corner
The task to access or reach that is v tedious n time consuming
Maybe sound like simple job to change bearing but need to take out battery to access them …

Not true leh, people have done the study before, the savings with ev is still better

No china build ev are cheaper than ice for sure .. i mean if u compare without tariff ..etc.

That y many developed countries wanna surcharge on EV from china. Their local cars cannot compete base on value for money.
