Sigh.

I know you guys might laugh at me, but I really cannot help it.

UNICEF keeps giving me commercials on YouTube asking me to donate money to support the people especially children who are suffering from the war in Gaza. I am not an unfeeling sentient being. When I see those images of children suffering in Gaza, I really feel d@mn sad. These kids need food, lodging, education, medical supplies, and they also need money. So UNICEF goes around trying to raise funds to support their work in Gaza.

I really respect those humanitarian volunteers who go into these war torn regions to help save kids and wounded. It is not an easy task. I wish everyone well, and I hope that the suffering can be alleviated, yet, there is something I don't believe in: I don't believe that donating money can help save the kids from all that violence. I am a firm believer in money, since I graduated my mentor in my first job always taught me that "Any problem that money can solve is not a problem." Yet, "Any problem that money cannot solve is a big headache".

To me, Gaza is simply a problem that money really cannot solve. UNICEF needs us to donate money to help their work, but money cannot buy a ceasefire in Gaza, and both the Palestinians and Israelis know this better than I do. If I were God, the first thing I hope to donate to the Israel-Hamas conflict is a ceasefire. Yet, how do we donate a ceasefire? Can truces be donated just via goodwill?

I really want to help, but the best option I have is to press the "Skip Ad" button. This is not my war. I refuse to help out of sentimental compassion which only exhausts me in my voluntary endeavours. Maybe one day a truce will finally come, I don't know what is it gonna take for Egypt and US to broker a peace deal for Palestine and Israel, but I don't think the war would end so quickly. So, before that day comes, I just wish to send the greatest goodwill to those who are suffering in the Middle East, but I maintain my cynicism or prudence that I am better off looking after myself and keeping my wallet close to me.

I will donate a ceasefire to Gaza and Israel if I know how, but I refuse to donate money to help UNICEF, this is all I have to say.

Please stop showing me those ads of children suffering, there's nothing I can do to help them.

whether the aid goes to the innocents or get diverted to HAMAS we also don't know.
Even without politics also such diversion happens. I remember donating to a disaster relief many years ago .... but reading later that most of the relief didn't go to the victims .

Furthermore , some UN workers there are actually HAMAS
