Saw his media speeches etc recently n I think he gives the impression he is trustworthy and frank person. Really is talent and those with integrity ba.

I happen to know some investors claim SG government control too much on SGX.

I see also tulan.....daily if market good at most up to 10 cents that is not always depend on that stocks performance.

Not very active unlike in USA and China ..even compare to other asia counter part.

Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam on Thursday hit back at Workers' Party member Gerald Giam's comments about Singaporeans being unable to afford a flat, telling him to 'catch up' with policies already introduced.

He said the Government has made 'major moves' in the past five years, which include improving housing subsidies.

'So I would like to assure Mr Gerald Giam, who might not have caught up with all the developments... that a family with $1,000 income can now, through our housing subsidies, purchase a small flat,' Mr Tharman added.

I know he was the one who came up with the h1, h2 a level syllabus which forced all students to take one extra subject. KNN. He failed as an education minister but seems to be doing ok as finance minister.

He had to kio alot of sai from Teo Chee Hean.

The latter open so many primary schools but attendance was poor, Tharman had to close or combine them one by one.

I don't think he's well liked among the local educators in the tertiary education fraternity. Messed up the education system by emphasizing money over quality.

I think he is more about extracting money and creating money streams for the govt. Perhaps that's why he is the finance minister.
