suppose they charge a $150 no show fee
does it mean if you don't show up, on top of the air fare you already paid, they charge your credit this additional amount?
or does it mean you can only get a refund for the ticket amount minus this no show fee?

No show fee applies if you don't turn up for the flight without informing the airline x hours prior.

The airline will collect the no show fee when you try to re-book the flight. The airline will also collect the no show fee when you want to get a refund.

If you are trying to game the system by buying a SIN-HKG // PVG-SIN ticket and not flying the SIN-HKG sector, you won't be able to fly the PVG-SIN sector as it's out of sequence.

if u book an air ticket
due to illness, you are unable to go, there would full refund you ...

for jetstar, they would issue you with voucher to be used within 5 months
for cathay, they would refund to your cc within the next 5 working days ...

If for no reason you no turn up, they might impose the no show fees ...
