How does one dual-boot Win+Ubuntu?

IT noob here

hope to dual-boot Win and Ubuntu on my laptop
but no idea how to :p

but i don wanna run Ubuntu via virtual machine
(which sadly, its the only solutions found all over youtube)

thanks for any help

you can try partitioning your current harddisk and install the ubuntu on that partition.

Why dual boot? Have you considered the option to run Ubuntu in a VDI in a windows host?
