Im not even sure what I gain from this.

All I can say is the typography of the font, change the IntelliJ to that form.

Nothing to do with CSS or Javascript. As for how they embed the logic in the font, im not sure.

Well if you don’t feel or unsure you will gain anything, then don’t do it.

There is also nothing so special about TCP/IP, but it does it work and those that knows it well enough knows how to manipulate it to work in ways that it is meant for and ways it is not meant for.

I am seeking for carbon dioxide generated is why the dough expand when rested, and the reason is yeast feeding on sugar in the starch of the flour producing carbon dioxide in the fermentation process.

You only shown there is dough, but speak nothing of what happened. You showed us the dough expand, and it ends there.

Finally… Good job!

To add on, this has nothing to do with SVG, nothing to do with CSS. It is just plain old font engine at work. Of course the font need to have the necessary GSUB table populated with the rules to make it work and also the necessary glyph too. There are still more than just CALT, feel free to venture more.

It will work in M$ word, Apple Page, other applications including even the Mac Terminal and others too which support ligature with contextual substitution.

What is the value of knowing this? Well we may not be font designers, but certainly knowing doesn’t hurt.

One engineering value I can think of is text searching. Obviously searching for IntelliJ as a word using regex would be much easier than searching for “intell” + (alternative symbol), since the alternate artistic symbol reads like “iJ”. From a indexing standpoint, the structure containing the actual text differing from the presentation is not so different from the purpose of having stylesheet.

As a software engineer, knowing this would then allow you to interoperate with a designer better and hopefully the designer you work with knows how to augment fonts instead of just resorting to raster images or vector graphics to create creative typography when the latest font engines have so much to offer via the Opentype specification.
