Anyone can share their experience studying in UQ? Maybe even share about Bsc Computer science if you are from it.

a few questions:
when did you study there?
how did you find a roommate? where did you find them from?
how do you send money from Singapore to Australia?
did you go home during breaks was it expensive?
how did you find internship/jobs during breaks?
how much you spend a week on food?
how hard is the course compared to poly(for IT people)?

Thanks

1) 2018
2) Was fortunately that one of my poly friends was there.
3) Transferwise
4) Only went back after grad
5) Usually, an intern there no pay however, exchange for the work experience. Lots of startups.
6) I spend AUD$50 on food/snacks per week.
7) Not that hard, as long as you put in the effort.

initially i brought bank draft of 30+k to cover everything for first sem, open bank acc there liao then deposit the bank draft. then afterwards my parent just go to bank xfer to my aus acc. one cheap way i save on sim card is, buy those 10$/15$ prepaid card from coles ( optus and voda). eg, jan i use optus. feb i port my num to voda. mar i port back to optus and so on.
much cheaper this way. 15$ card for 55gb and15$ credit. last time everymonth i topup like 30$.

bank about 30-50?? not much.

switch then can keep enjoying the perks at cheap price. its like machiam lure u to buy their card for 15$, then next month onwards recharge 30$. but i disable the auto recharge and a month later, switch telco thats on offer for like 10-15$ for similar perks.
those card nornally costs 50$ ea without offer.

also, use ozbargain.com.au to look out for good cheap deals. eg, adidas 20% off, bose qc35 ii only 311$, sony 1000xm3 only $320 ish last month. microsoft surface pro about 15% dist + free type cover. many other things. very poisonous hahaha
