How Long Do You Think Seagate will Uplorry

Just asking. Cause I got a feeling they are another nokia. They don't seems to embrace SSD when its clearly the future. Toshiba is nearly shipping of ita QLC 100TB SSD.

No doubt that QLC is not for everyone but in terms of storage capacity, its way ahead of what HDD could do.

I just feel that SSD is the future (even for storage purpose). Its just a matter of time before SSD replaces HDD and if Seagate continues to ignore SSD, I think they will ultimately die off.

U do realize that the Toshiba HDD has already been sold off and the Toshiba SSD is another department?

Welp, pretty much. Because they don't have to.

Seagate and Hitachi and stuff don't actually make their own flash memory - and it's not about "the future" or "ignoring" or not because telling HDD manufacturers to manufacture flash memory is like telling a bread factory to start manufacturing ice cream.

They're probably pacing the release so they have time to improve.
