Tiagong change every 3 years is the most valued for money as Tech quantum jump every 2 years.

ya I actually was thinking of putting everything on the old poco f3 and trade in on the spot ytd at mobile square or some shop in far east plaza but decided against it so never bring the pixel 8a box out with me.

in the end walk to challenger in plaza sing to hold the pixel 9 pro xl but find the bumb at the camera back very thick compared to the 8a.

still trying to convince myself 8a is good for now

I still use my poco f3 for social media and stuff

banking and finance stuff throw on 8a

even oneplus? oppo?

yeah. actually this wasn't such a thing when apps such as Singpass and PayLah wasn't catching on strong integrity for unlocked bootloader cause you could always depend on custom roms for play integrity cause people would port out the Pixel ASOP roms

but to sell the phones yearly both manufacturer would stop releasing software updates after 2 years . now some flagships give up to 4 years. Xiaomi and Samsung but only their top range.

best for Android is google pixel liao 7 years.

all these just create more E-Waste I feel as tech has reach this plateau that you really don't need that much features and upgrades also

reason why i use pixel is cuz back then playing with xiaomi/ redmi, the rom wasnt stable

always have issue either is calling or camera or bluetooth (this was back in like 2015)

pretty sure now ROMs should be more or less stable....... plus now android some bank apps cant even screenshot = SCB ; they blocked it

yea actually mid range more than enough for most people as they dont take advantage of the features of the flagships one.

buy flagship but
- never enable 120Hz refresh rate (some say is to conserve battery)
- never use camera (those high megapixel or simi wide lens, etc.)
- dont play games, only do light browsing.... which a mid tier phone can do also
- and many more.....
