hello all,

thinking of going travelling for 5-7 days in November 2018. Considering taiwan,so anyone can share how much will it roughly cost in total.

Mainly sight seeing and food. prefer budget airlines.

A rough gauge. I flew scoot for around $200+ with check-in luggage two ways. Taipei budget hotel stay should cost you between $70-$90 a night, southern side like Kaohsiung will be cheaper. A decent meal (not restaurant) cost you less than $10.

depending on your travel dates
budget airline:
jetstar 132 cheapest this year
scoot 166 cheapest this year
excludes cc fees $20 per person or offline payment $5 per person, or you can use vouchers ...
excludes optional add on such as luggage, seats, meal, etc

full fledged airline
sq eva china airline, 400+

hotels:
sun to thur : 3* xmd hotel might cost 40+ to 70+ per night
fri to sun: price might be doubled ... search for other hotels perhaps ...

By the book 7kg per pax
If you carry more, they may ask you to check in, that's will be more costly then normal check in.

Jetstar ... the staff should be from Changi Airport ...
She was in grey color uniform, not jetstar staff for sure ...
at terminal 1 ...

she stations around that area where you show your passport to verify,
before going into the immigration counter to scan your passport ...

saw her aim at those with one cabin luggage + 1 bag per pax ...
she would ask u put everything u have on the weighing machine, including your water bottle, books, food , jacket , etc ... she advised us to wear our jackets if we have , to lighten our load =.=

Jetstar quite strict. Especially after you check in and they start weighing u, good luck. No discount on check in luggage.
Scoot wise, if one cabin bag and a backpack, they can be restrictive as well.
Encountered before. Excuse was , sir your bag is rather big. Over our size limit.
They seldom have issues with ladies of huge handbags though.
So guys, backpack n luggage together can be a nono.
