Will need to spend some $ on installing power tracks, false ceiling, down light, ceiling speakers for 7 channel, carpentry works to conceal every stuff, day n night curtain, LED lighting, clothes hanger, CCTV cam, wall paper, ceiling fan, store room rack, vanity rack.
The most important thing in reno would be lighting imo, something like this...

Actually TS

1. you can go through those URA etc articles on shophouses
- then go to the websites of those architects & IDs handling shophouse projects for ideas etc

2. do homework - go through ID and Home Décor magazines & online

3. RenoTalk Forum - quite active forum there

4. pretend pretend - get some IDs to give you ideas and no-obligation quotes for works to be done

Do your research - have broad idea of what theme - what you want done etc ...
Thanks for your suggestions so far!

I wanna make my house a bit industrial + modern Japanese.. not going for false ceilings.. very typical condo/hdb to be and not im not planning to hack ceilings to tunnel wires as well..

Probably going to just build black pipes to hold wires through out the house.. saw some examples done on HDBs online..

Anyone else renovating soon? Same boat as me

Depends on how niao you are. Good screens can cost easily 4-5k alone. Projectors can easily cost upwards of 5-8k.

If you dont mind poorer images, can get those cheaper benq
