Dun know about pay scale.

you better have at least a 3 room or 4 room HDB.

At least can rent out and have limited income.

Quarter life crisis change to corporate accounting; they don’t know my history.
2012 - junior accounts assistant - 2000
2013 - year 2 - 2200
2014 - year 3 promoted supervisor - 2500
2015 - year 4 salary adjustment - 2700
2016 - year 5 promoted executive - 3200
2017 - year 6 salary adjustment - 3400
2018 - change company - 4500, promoted - 5500
2019 - year 1 - 5800
2020 - change company during covid 8500

We all do get there eventually, it’s sad that job hopping is rewarded.

Need anonymous poll in hwz.
Thot salary.sg got such info. But my feeling is salary.sg inflates the salary to make us feel inadequate and want to job hop. The more people jumps the more business those hh earns.

i think the hdb bto ceiling of 12-14k is a good benchmark for a couple who r both degree holders

im not saying the bto is affordable, im jus saying the 14k ceiling is a benchmark to work towards :o

TS i help give u realistic input

Moi 2k time got married

2.2k 1st kid out + buy 2nd hand car
2.4k 2nd kid
2.6k bought resale hdb
3.2k bought new car
3.6k 3rd kid out

Currently 4k atm
Kids 12,10 & 2yo

Wife slightly lower than me only
Combined round lets just put it at 8k then
Current savings combined should be 100k+/- ba

Mine never have car ...

Before he started work, we applied for bto
2.8k (less than 3 months?) bto successful

I think 3.2k time got married
Then shifted to nz
Nett pay after tax about the same as sgd 3.2k iirc since so long ago
Initially lower, after i calc the tax, asked him to renegotiate the pay to be about the same ... Post tax

Then in his 2nd or 3rd yr there pay raise, iirc to gross 100k nzd / yr...

Then at that point i think 2nd miscarriage...

Then bto payments etc, he finding sg jobs... Tough to pay rent in nz AND hdb instalments (will not have much savings), got job offer but nz job pay rise so renegotiate salary of new job offer.

Shift back to sg, New job pay abt 11+k/mth...
1st kid also abt that pay

Currently i dunno... Never ask also (don't think much increment)

My sal abt 1 to 2k... For a long long time... But working hours really reduced after kid comes out.

So just 1 kid for now...
