Taking train should be easy.. Just need to know the place nearest to which station & with the help of data plan & Google map should not be an issue.. As for which place more things for guys need input from others...

for guys.. the mall to visit is called NEP. (NANA Entertainment Plaza).. The shopping street to visit is called Soi Cowboy. dun worry abt money, Mall and Shopping street as mentioned above accept Credit Card.

There are also pasar malam available between NANA and Asoke BTS. You will need cash for shopping along that street.

If u desperately need to withdrawn money, i recommend UOB atm card as there are no service charges for withdrawal from Singapore UOB acc. Do not forget to call UOB allow overseas withdrawal before you leave singapore.

for a moement, i tot you are talking abt Train-train as in Hua Lamphong Train station.

I believe you are talking about BTS and MRT. You maybe interested to get Rabbit card if you intend to travel frequently on BTS. Saving time and hassle to find coins to buy ticket each time. Take note, rabbit card cannot be used for MRT. You need another card to take MRT.

depending on what kind of hotel you stay as well.

you can always go to the front desk to take cash from your credit card

but of cause they will have their surcharges.
