How much to create a eCommerce website?
This is a very comment question and every customer ask me when the first they approach to us.
Ok, the price range is start from $1k-$20k, it's really depends. (I know you hate to hear that)
"$1k, WOW, it's my budget"
- Great you are happy with this price. but you will spend a lot extra once you know this 1K you can not do anything.
"I can use shopify, they offer $19/month"
- Yes they are. if you want to play play, you can through $19/month to them to get a very limited web design. In fact most of my customer who came from shopify complained to me about the function limitation and SEO limitation. Too bad, shopify can not run SEO, because you can not edit their sourse code...
"How much if I want to build a good eCommerce website with comment functions such as add products, add information, manage customer information, product can add to cart, make payment online ?"

- You can buy a theme and set up by developer $3k-$5k, you saved design fee and development fee. but the back-end is still complicated, you cannot get your site up nicely if you have no web experience. And you may need to customized some design a bit here and there
- If you want to create a website from scratch, it is a big deal. designer will work on your design, develop will develop the website according to design, this is reason why the price is so high.
