Guys I have bring up this topic again.
with the ever increasing Col getting more d more tougher, can you actually save?i am trying to save bit bit.
and the worst scariest news is hikes news.
means all those saving will have to return to the government.
I try to “save” in unit trusts that pay monthly dividends

So let’s say I earn $2000. I spent $1500, save $500. I put the $500 in unit trust that says pays $10 monthly in cash*

So month number 2, I still earn $2000 but now I have $2010 cos of the dividends. I can still save $500 and next month I now get $2020 and so on. Over the years it will add up and I can reinvest for higher returns

* the numbers are ficitious just used for illustration

Outside looks nice but inside us is struggling.
What government see us is just external face...

Good morning Brother Lchlch, you are up early this morning too. Glad to see you around at this hour.

I don't have a stable income, but every month I'd save S$350 with my mother and my family manages to get by with life. I wanted to earn more money, but I went to Waterloo Street Guan Yin temple to draw a divination lot and Buddha/Guanyin told me that it's not the right time to acquire wealth now, so whatever excess money I have, I either donate them to charities or dedicate them back to my family business.

Times are hard these days, but life goes on.

I am grateful to the Buddha and Bodhisattvas for looking after me and my loved ones, I wish everyone here at EDMW well too, hopefully the year would become better as we progress. Thank you, and talk to you guys later, I'm going for breakfast.

Don't need la, I'm an undertaker, if you meet me for coffee there's nothing good. I rather you save the trouble and go out with your son for a good meal. Thank you for being a doting father and looking after your kids' needs. I offer you moral support! (y) 💪
