Planning to travel during dec. Anyone can give me a rough estimation how much should i change for a 16d trip (exclude airticket,accomodation and jrpass). Planning to go osaka,tokyo and hokkaido.

a simple estimate will be $100 a day for food, transport, admission tickets and other misc stuff.

u can refer to the first post of this thread to do a more detail estimate. coz it will depends on ur itnerary and spending habits

3k shld be more than enuf lah

wat is expensive is usually the transportation outside/between cities, which i assume u are using JR pass to cover. if not, just use Hyperdia to calculate ur transport cost and factor it into ur budget.

u can cater $100 per day for those days in tokyo city, which is quite a comfortable budget. then maybe $150 a day for kawaguchiko and hakone. still got $100 left for shopping

tt is a quite a comfortable budget.
since u are only visiting osaka and kyoto, travel will be mainly between the 2 cities and within, which is relatively cheap.

First time to Japan. We are going in July for 8d7n. 2A + 2 young kids (not so keen in food/disneyland, only keen in pokemon).. Accomodation has been paid..
Only plan to go Mt Fuji/Sensijo and not many other places..
Breakfast is not included in hotel. hotel is in Shinjuku.. will avoid taking cabs..

seems like u will be travelling mostly within tokyo, with only a side trip to mt fuji. 2-3k shld be enuf generally
