How often you clean your PC?

As I'm replacing wireless adapter, I decided give my PC a spring cleaning on Sat morning. Out of curiosity, I googled to find out how often should I clean my PC. I'm getting different opinions from google. So I'm doing little survey to see how often the bros and sis here clean their PCs.

Hardly, cause for old PC once you touch the RAM or what very hard to get it back working. Need to keep re-seating.

Every 6 months. That would be the optimal to make it clean and healthy.

Normally what i will do is half year maintenance. I would check on hdd health. Ram and ssd. Lastly format.

yearly, got all the sponge and fan and filter at the front of the casing, very little/no dust gets into the component. component inside very clean not even thin layer of dust so i just replace the filters and clean the fans.

I usually do a major cleaning only when I'm changing my CPU/Motherboard or when doing major overhauls.

That said, I've just done a major spring cleaning for my computer a few days ago. The last time was about 2 years ago when I changed my case.

Just dont take a vacuum cleaner to it like i did XD

With the case filters in place, I don't bother with cleaning until I need to take apart the system for other reasons.

Without them however, I usually have to do it once every two months, because dust gets deposited everywhere in the case.

It's the downside to having natural ventilation for your room

Agreed with the bro said that after touching ram etc it is hard to get it working again instantly.

Major: 1/2 yearly

you'll never imagine how much dust would have accumulated through the cooling fans... and they are not grey but black

Love my casing. Just unscrew the front fan filter, rinse under the sink, leave to air dry then pop it back in.

2 months.

I usually do it once a month to clean the fans and dust filters. CPU heatsink 3 months once.

What should be done to clean the pc? So how do I proceed? Simply open the pc and wipe off the dust?

normally i dont really clean it unless i change something. never in my mind purposely go and clean it... but then nowaday its easier to take out the filter and clean ...

never cleaned till something crops up. if it ain't broke don't fix it.
