How to block flash sms?

Hi all, is there no way to block flash sms unless the teleco has a sim apps to deactivate it. Been google but seem to have no solution at the meantime

There is a kind of SMS message called Class 0 or Flash SMS that pops up immediately, cannot be blocked, and ignores Do Not Disturb settings. This is an incredibly intrusive message and is now being used by spammers.

That's the main way the carriers send you balances if on prepaid after a call or something.

Block flash SMS affects them too.

It is the responsibility of the telcos concerned to disable these nuisance messages from subscribers, unless the spammer is an important agency of government. Eg. messages to warn the public of terrorism, natural disasters etc.

TS you're really thinking too much btw. So many years alr, I've never seen a flash SMS on advertising before, on all the Big Three.

Flash SMS is typically used for Telco related SMS, like remaining balance on Prepaid.

Yes I received such spams. I am on M1. Good luck to you if you have not got any. So it is no way to stop it unless telcos block them

Your number is some recurring number that's easy to rmb?

In my family there's a total of 5 M1 Mobile lines and none have ever received flash SMS spams. Additional 1 SingTel and 1 StarHub Mobile ones also don't have before.

I am with M1 since 1997. Anyway as I said it happens. Hopefully this type of nuisance don't grow. Thanks for all your replies.
