how to connect this ssd?

hi

has an old ssd recover from an old laptop. trying to connect to pc to see what is inside the ssd.
But realised the holes are different and cannot connect. Can anyone advise what is required here to power up the ssd from my pc?

The laptop is dead btw so cant connect ssd back to laptop to check.

Its really a pita that some laptop manufacturers uses micro sata for ssd...its mostly used by dvd drives instead of ssds....

This samsung 1.8" ssd only take in 3.3V. That's why you need a adapter to step down from 5v to 3.3v.

Because in those days, getting component size down was a big challenge. Apple's first Macbook Air was one of the first to use 1.8" HDD, and that was a mechanical drive.
