Your room is fine, is you getting static charge. Dischage / ground yourself before you touch door.

Some footwear can help dischage. But really indoors, if sit on chair or some clothes causes static buildup - you can look to change those habits.

thanks bro ... any good recommendation on the footwear? I also suspect it could be my clothes that cause the static charge ...

Yup, I’ve experienced that before too—usually happens in dry environments, or when there’s poor grounding. Those little sparks can really give you a shock.
Ionizers can help in some cases, especially if your room is dry, but they’re not always a guaranteed fix.
You might want to try these:

Use a humidifier to reduce static buildup (dry air = more static)
Make sure your power outlets and metal fixtures are properly grounded
Anti-static spray or floor mats can also reduce discharge near metal handles

I’ve come across similar issues during my work in system setups—static buildup can mess with electronics too. Hope one of these helps.

Humidifiers will help. There are little chance of static discharge in Singapore because our humidity is high aways. Those humidifiers or fans that spray water droplets will help. Because water droplets will conduct away static electricity.
